Tasting Room Speakesy Style

The Moravian Sons Distillery brand-new speakesy-style tasting room is located in The Old Theater at 315 W. Main St. in downtown Lowell, MI. Surrounded by quaint boutiques and restaurants, the venue is conveniently located within walking distance in the historical district lying at the confluence of two rivers- Flat River and Grand River. For out of town tourists, you can stay at the Main Street Inn or in several area bed & breakfasts.

Open Hours

Our regular open hours are Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 p.m. until close. During the Lowell Showboat Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts from June 11 through Aug. 13, the tasting room will also be open on Thursdays from 5 p.m.

We are open as well for all special events in our hometown Lowell.

Local & late on the first Friday of the month

The next local & late will be on June 5 themed as “Sidewalk Sales.” The tasting room will be open until 8 p.m. Lowell author Emma Palova will be selling her books on the sidewalk in front of The Old Theater.

Patriotic evening with military award winning author Frank Demith on D Day June 6

We will welcome a true patriot who had fought for our country. The event will celebrate America’s 250th birthday starting with cocktail hour at 4 p.m. followed by Frank Demith’s talk about his career and his award-winning books.

There will be a cover charge of $5 for the Andy & Nancy Band who will play patriotic music after the talk. Do not miss out on this unique opportunity. Tickets available at http://www.theoldtheater.com

Halloween Costume Contest, Oct. 31

On Oct. 31, we are hosting a Halloween Costume Contest from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. Stop by for a great photo opportunity inside the eerie 1928 theater also known as the Strand and Larkins Other Place. You will have a chance to win a bottle of pre-mixed cocktail of your choice.

Christmas through Lowell, Nov. 14, 15 & 16

We are stop J on the map next to the Lowell Area Historical Museum. We will be open also during the set up day on Thursday, Nov. 13.
